Hi, do you have 2nd round of lessons starting in July not June? Thanks

admin June 3, 2010 at 9:08 am

Hi Stacy- We have 2 sessions of swim lessons; Session 1 from July 5 – July 23, Session 2 from July 26 – August 13.

Kaitlin June 5, 2010 at 4:12 pm

Can 4 year olds participate?

Amy Hunt June 6, 2010 at 1:39 pm

When does registration for swim lessons close, especially for Session 2? If we register our child at the end of June would that be okay?

admin June 7, 2010 at 9:36 am

Yes, it’d be fine to register at the end of June for Session 2. Thanks.

Placement at the Tadpole (beginning level) begins at age 5. I would suggest stopping in at the pool when it opens 6/21 to discuss lessons with the instructors/lifeguards. Thanks.

Cheryl June 10, 2010 at 3:02 pm

Can 3 year olds join in the Tadpole class for lessons?

admin June 18, 2010 at 9:48 am

Cheryl and Kaitlyn- Take a look at the FAQs page regarding the age for tadpole lessons.

Thanks for letting us know. It should be OK now.

admin June 10, 2011 at 2:36 pm

Yes. 5 is fine. We will send you an email regarding scholarships.

Jaclyn June 10, 2011 at 4:58 pm

Do you offer private swimming lessons at all? Unfortunately, these lesson times conflict with my work. But I would really like my two children to have lessons. Thanks!

admin June 21, 2011 at 5:45 pm

Hi Jaclyn – No, we’re not offering private lessons at this time. You may want to inquire at the office to see if special arrangements can be made. We have not done private lessons in the past and don’t think we have the staff to support them.

I was wondering if you still have openings for your 2nd session of swim lessons for my 6 year old? Is it too late to sign up?Thank you

Sarah July 26, 2011 at 10:08 am

Does the second session start on August 1 or July 26? On the website it says the 1st; on the form it says the 26.

Is it possible to have any Saturday morning lessons offered? My 3 year old would love to take lessons, but I can’t make the parent/toddler class that will be offered M/W/F. Thanks.

admin June 13, 2012 at 3:37 pm

We haven’t any plans for Saturday lessons but I will bring this up at our next meeting and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion.

Saturday classes would be so wonderful, as a working family we are not able to get transportation to and from swimming lessons during week days, also would I be able to have my daughter go, we do not live in the Clinton school district?

admin July 11, 2013 at 10:08 pm

Saturdays are a great idea! We will be sure to discuss that for next year. Many of our lifeguards offer private lessons at the pool on weekends. Their rates are reasonable, I think. You do not need to be a Clinton resident. Everyone is welcome at the pool!

If I sign my child up for swim lessons and we have vacation planned for a week out of the session can he make up that week in the next session or would I have to pay for the whole second session?

admin June 16, 2016 at 4:24 pm

I spoke to the lifeguards and they said that it depends on the age of the child and what they’re doing in the lessons. You might want to call the pool (853-5687) or stop by and talk with one of the guards. I’m sure they can help you. So sorry it took us so long to reply – somehow we didn’t see this until today.
