FAQs

Do I have to live in Clinton to swim at the pool?

The Jack Boynton Community Pool is open to everyone, regardless of where you live.  For the current season you do have to be a member to use the pool.  Please visit the Member page for additional info.

Who owns the pool?

The Jack Boynton Community Pool is located on the grounds of Clinton Central School but is run and maintained by the Clinton Youth Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that receives monetary donations from the Town of Kirkland and local businesses, fundraisers, grants from The Community Foundation, the Hamilton College Town Gown fund, and others. Clinton Central School gives us many in-kind donations and is very supportive of our mission. We also rely on summer memberships and admission fees to meet our costs.

What is the minimum age for swim lessons?

Check back for updated swim lesson information in late-April!

How can I find out if the pool is closed due to weather?

The pool will post notifications on our Facebook page and on this website if and when there are weather related closures.

Do you offer discounts for military or seniors?

Yes, we offer a $10 discount on family memberships and $1 off of a day pass for military (active duty and veterans) and senior citizens.  Please inquire at the front desk about our discounts and be prepared to show identification.

If I don’t plan to swim, do I still need to pay?

All visitors are required to have or be associated with a membership.  Day Pass members pay $6/visit.
